Wonder Woman Sings On and On

Lynda Carter, has seen the newly released photo of Adrianne Palicki in costume as the revamped superhero for David E. Kelley's upcoming TV remake. Former Miss USA 1973 is an actress best known for playing Wonder Woman on TV from 1975 to 1979. She is also a singer and a motivational speaker.

Beyonce has Inspired earlier this year after seeing the outfit from Carter's 1970's TV show on display at the Costume Institute's Superheroes Exhibit. Carter's opinion runs contrary to some of the reactions to the skin-tight red and blue suit, which shows plenty of actress Adrianne Palicki's bosom and appears to be made of latex. Carter was born in Phoenix, AZ on July 24, 1951. She is mostly known for her role as Wonder Woman. She is approximately 5' 9½ in height. Her red and blue skin-tight leotard left little to the imagination and went on to become one of the most iconic images of the decade.

“For me, I’ve been singing all my life, I have a wonderful group of Nashville musicians, who can, and have done, everything. I am very proud” Carter said. “I only did ‘Wonder Woman’ for a few seasons.” Carter explained. Carter said she began singing professionally at the age of 14 in bands that played high school dances, colleges and other places. She was on the road for a couple years after high school and then did studio work for a time.

During the late 1970s, she recorded an album, Portrait. Carter is credited as a co-writer on several songs, and she made numerous guest appearances on variety television programs at the time in a musical capacity. She also sang two of her songs in a 1979 Wonder Woman episode.
